Rocking around the Christmas tree...

I am oh so ready for Christmas... I mean who isn't these days? All the little kids going to "sleep" early to get presents from Santa, all the family getting together with lots of yummy goodies to devour, all the family presents to open up that we aren't SUPPOSED to know what they are.

So, what is at the top of your Christmas list?

I know I would absolutely love to have one of those kinda-old bubble umbrellas. I found one at target and just would die to have it. Also up on my Christmas list would be a lovely pearl necklace and a ring that I found at Lifeway Christian Bookstore. It has a rose with a cross in the middle of it... I personally think it would look real nice on my lil' finger... ya think? haha.

I really truely didn't ask for much for Christmas this year... guess I'm getting to the age of just being able to enjoy the holiday and a hug. I know I'm ready for all that good food like on Thanksgiving, but who isn't right?
Our house is already all decorated up and everything... colorful lights on the porch, light up candy canes out in the yard, Christmas tree up in the living room, all the lil' Christmas dodads are out everywhere. Maybe this weekend I'll get to get my room all decorated up. I already have a wreath that I made at work on my door; it like takes the door over. :P

I'm too excited!

Turkey Day :D

How was everyone's Thanksgiving? Family, food, the works... prolly one of the best days out of the year besides Christmas (which I love). So, out of all the pies we had, my favorite was probably the pumpkin that Stephanie (lil sis) made. It was supper yummy and I had two pieces. Am not really all into the turkey thing so I had ham, which was very good.

Today I'm SUPPOSED to go to thanksgiving with Mason at his mom's house. Mason is in the army and came home for thanksgiving so it will be nice to see him again. Should be leaving any time now... *yawn*

Worked all day black friday... gosh that was a heck of a long day. 8:30-5:30 at work and then Uncle Scott and Walt came over. I fell asleep sitting in daddy's chair with him... I was pooked.

Happy LATE Thanksgiving everyone! :D

A Sunflower Romance

Have you ever just really got caught up in a sunflower? Well, ya seriously need to think about doing that in your "spare time", as if we have any these days. When I was in Italy the hills were covered in HUGE, and I'm talking HUGE, fields of sunflowers... just like cotton and corn fields you would find here down in southern Georgia. It was just so gorgeous that you couldn't help but stare and get captivated by these oceans of yellow waving in the wind. I remember the first time i saw the field in Italy. I had no idea what it was, I got so caught up in trying to figure out what it was and then just enjoying it that I never, NEVER took a picture of one the whole time I was in Italy. Thats a serious record for me, I take pictures of EVERYTHING...

but that sunflower field, it just made my mind freeze like an ice cube and I couldn't do anything but look in wonder.

Long time no... type?

Hilly here, yes I know it has almost been a year (basically) since I have even looked at this blog. Life has been super busy... BUT to start off with...

What has happened in since November 2007:
-Christmas 2007
-New Years... Hello 2008!
-Spring Break 2008
-EUROPE TRIP!!
-Sweet Sixteen

So many things eh?

Christmas was fun, got my Nikon D40 that I'm still in the process of figuring out. Don't remember much else. Just like any other Christmas. Family. Presents. Good eats. Christmas would probably be my most favorite time of year though so it was wonderful of course.
New years: welcoming of 2008 (was hoping for a better year). Got a new start, a new year to either screw up or make worth it. On this New Years maybe we will all be able to look back and see if we made anything of our 2008's.
Spring break was a blast. Met Ryan (whom my family does not speak of any longer). We hung out, went to Wild Adventures, church... the works. That was all of my spring break though.
EUROPE TRIP! Man, that was a trip of a lifetime. It was just simply amazing. I absolutely loved all of Italy, all the sunflower fields that made up the country of rolling hills and great food. My homestay family were the sweetest people you could ever meet in your life (still keep up with them). France and Greece were great too, no doubt, but Italy... man oh man... it was just like WOAH... couldn't be replaced by anything else on this planet. Met abunch of wonderful friends that I will never forget. Created great memories, some that I will take to my grave, others we share as inside jokes. All of them just as imprinted in my mind as the day it happened. Wanna know more? Just ask... I'll gladly tell, but be ready for a long story. :)
So, once I got home from Europe it was almost my birthday. Now yes I know every kid always dreams of their sixteenth birthday (duh... you can drive now) but once it got here, it was not as I had always thought it would be. I did not get my driver's license or a car. Georgia's crazy new laws make it near to impossible just to get your driver's much less by a car now with our crazy economy. So my "sweet sixteen" was a surprise party at a Japanese restaurant with people I love dearly, what more can I ask for? No, it wasn't anyones average sweet sixteen party, but who said I'm average, eh? haha. It was fun anyways. We all came home and stayed up late and watched movies till we couldn't hold our eye lids open with tape.

Now, for this new school year, my junior year of course, has just been crazy and hectic. I have a job at a flower and gift shop (which I love) and I'm really enjoying that now... alot better than the strawberry farm I used to work at. I've been learning how to make flower arrangements... me and my creative self over here just absolutely love that. The shop is all decorated up for Christmas, it is just wonderful. :) As for school, its straight crazy and so much work that sometimes I just wanna run away from it all and act like it doesn't exist, but every morning I get up and face reality once again.

Hey, one more year and I'm outta highschool... I think I can make it.
